I always dread when people come to me with their computer problems, because I, 99% of the time, cannot help them. I often say, "I'm a writing major. All I know is Word."
So get this...one of my favorite EDS Lab guys came to the desk and goes, "I have a question." My face scrunched up in an "Uh oh" look and I said, "I'll try to help you." (Emphasis on try.) He goes, "I'm using Word" (my face brightened up) "and when I insert things, the letters type over what I just wrote." I was all over that! It was the insert button! THE INSERT BUTTON! I know everything there is to know about that blasted key! I told him about the insert button and pointed it out on the keyboard. "Just click on it once."
As he was leaving to go back to his computer, I said, "Wow, I actually helped someone. I can't believe I was actually able to help someone." He laughed and I swooned.
