Once, I had just bought an apple from a street vendor , and took one bite before entering the subway station. As soon as I stopped to wait for the train, I dropped the huge wonderfully delicious apple on the dirty pee infested subway ground. Ravenous and paranoid, I looked around , brushed off the apple, and kept on eating it. I waited for the next two weeks to die of a skin eating infectious disease, but it never happened.

That's so awesome! I always use not dying as justification for eating questionable things--"I've eaten it before and didn't die, so I'll eat it again."
